INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE OF THE
SERBIAN ASSOCIATION
OF GYNECOLOGICAL ENDOSCOPY

“From 10th till 12th April in Belgrade Serbia ESGE endorsed (green badge) and help in organising, the first laparoscopy and hysteroscopy hands on course, with Serbian endoscopy society (UGES). 

Course took place in National Acute Hospital Centre of excellence. Course attracted exceptional interest. Initially was planned for 30 delegates but because of great interest final number was 36 delegates. ISGE was represented by Anneli Linnamagi, Resad Pasic, Dino Alagic and Omer Devaja. Paola Simons organised logistical support (training boxes from Storz) and helped with administrative issues. 

Morning session was theoretical lectures covering topics from basics of laparoscopy and hysteroscopy to more specialised topics (endometriosis, fibroids oncology). Afternoon session was hands on work on Storz training boxes.  

Feed back from the course was excellent, all candidates were very pleased with content and quality of the lectures especially with practical session in the afternoon.

Interest was so high that UGES has booked repeat course in October this year. 

This was the great catalyst and motivation for improving education and promoting endoscopic surgery in Serbia.  

We attracted new members and UGES is in process of affiliating their society to ISGE 

This course is representation of what ISGE stand for, promoting endoscopic surgery safety and raising the standards in countries where there is a great need for such help! “
